Celebrating Gabrielle’s Birthday with a Gift That Gives Back!

Donations to Katie Cares come in many ways, and one of the most meaningful is when children choose to give back on their special day.

Young Gabrielle recently celebrated her birthday and, instead of gifts, chose to donate Beanie Babies to Katie Cares. These furry little friends will be given to children throughout the Southern Health region who may be feeling anxious or facing a difficult experience.

We are so grateful to Gabrielle and to each of her guests who donated. What a beautiful way to celebrate a birthday—and what a wonderful example of caring for others.

These little Beanie Babies may seem simple, but the impact they can have on a child is anything but small. They bring comfort, smiles, and a little bit of joy when it is needed most.
