A New Katie Cares Fundraiser — and a Wonderful Surprise!

Katie Cares tried something new this year! We were incredibly grateful to receive a fabulous WestJet trip for two to anywhere WestJet flies, and we decided to turn it into a raffle.

We had 400 tickets available — and we sold every single one! What an amazing response from our community and supporters. The charity raised $8,000.

The winning ticket was drawn at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, during the Katie Cares Fashion Show.

And then came the sweetest surprise… the winner was Jan Rafnkelsson, who just happens to have been a guest at Katie’s Cottage! It was such a wonderful connection and made the raffle even more special for all of us at Katie Cares.

A heartfelt thank you to WestJet for donating this incredible trip, and congratulations to Jan and Eric! We are so grateful that you chose to support Katie Cares by taking a chance on our raffle.
